iPhone 18 price: what every 2026 iPhone costs in 12 countries

The iPhone 18 Pro, 18 Pro Max and the foldable iPhone Duo, priced from Apple's own stores in local currency and US dollars, with the cheapest and priciest places to buy.

The iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199 in the United States, the iPhone 18 Pro Max at $1,299 and the foldable iPhone Duo at $1,999, all before sales tax. Among countries whose prices include tax, the 18 Pro is cheapest in Hong Kong (about $1,338) and dearest in India (about $1,719). These are base-storage prices from Apple’s own storefronts in 12 countries, retrieved 2026-10-13 and converted to dollars at that day’s exchange rates.

The 2026 lineup in one paragraph

This year’s range has three new phones. The 18 Pro is the entry point to the new generation; the Pro Max adds $100 on the US store for the bigger body; and the iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable (widely searched as the “iPhone Fold”), sits $700 above that. There is no standard iPhone 18 on Apple’s store yet. If you want something cheaper, the least expensive phone Apple sells is the iPhone 17e at $699, and last year’s Pro models have been withdrawn from Apple’s store rather than discounted.

Where the gaps open up

Leaving the two pre-tax storefronts aside, the order at the extremes holds across the range: Hong Kong is cheapest and India most expensive for all three new models. The spread is widest on the iPhone Duo, where the dearest country charges 40% ($897) more than the cheapest, and narrowest on the iPhone 18 Pro Max at 28%. On the foldable, where you buy matters more than on any other new model.

The middle of the table is stable too: no country moves more than one place between the 18 Pro and the Duo rankings, so Apple appears to have scaled the foldable’s price from the same local ladder it uses for the rest of the range.

Where buyers outside the US usually look

The three cheapest storefronts that already include tax in the price are:

  • Hong Kong: HK$10,499 for the 18 Pro, about $1,338, or 12% above the US sticker price. See our Hong Kong guide.
  • Japan: ¥219,800 for the 18 Pro, about $1,386, or 16% above the US sticker price. See our Japan guide.
  • United Arab Emirates: AED 5,099 for the 18 Pro, about $1,388, or 16% above the US sticker price. See our Dubai guide.

Canada’s CA$1,749 (about $1,225) looks lower still, but like the US it is quoted before tax: GST, or a combined HST in some provinces, is added at checkout. A US sticker price also rises once state sales tax is added, which narrows the gap to these storefronts considerably in high-tax states.

What going from Pro to Pro Max costs

The jump from the 18 Pro to the 18 Pro Max is not a fixed amount. In local currency it is smallest in Saudi Arabia (SAR 5,699 to SAR 6,099, 7.0%) and largest in Singapore (SGD 1,899 to SGD 2,099, 11%). Apple sets each country’s prices at rounded local price points, so the step-up lands wherever the nearest round number falls rather than at a uniform percentage. If you are torn between the two sizes, the Pro Max is relatively better value where the step-up is smallest. Before you buy

  • Starting prices only. Every figure here is for the base storage tier. Higher capacities cost more on every store, so compare like with like.
  • Add tax to US and Canadian prices before comparing them with countries whose prices already include VAT. Our US out-the-door breakdown shows what state sales tax adds.
  • Buying abroad has trade-offs. Warranty coverage, cellular bands and import duty when you get home can erase a saving. The cheapest country to buy an iPhone guide works through them.
  • Prices move. Apple raised several prices this cycle; the 2026 iPhone price increase breaks down what rose and where.
